Special Egg Rolls

 Special egg rolls is a kind of snack which looks like Sushi, but it really different from Sushi. Firstly, it has strong smell of fried egg and gives you an appetite; secondly, its taste is refreshing and greaseless because the foodstuff inside are cucumber, carrot and seafood stick; thirdly, the making process is very easy and convenient.  

If you invite some friends to have dinner, it is really a good choice to treat them with 

the special egg rolls as snack or starter. 

Imagine who will not like the food which looks beautiful and tastes amazing? 

I’m sure everyone can make this snack successfully even you are a kitchen 

novice. 

🙂 Come on, let’s do it now!

Ingredients: two or three eggs, 1/3 cucumber, 1/3 carrot, 3 seafood sticks

Flavouring: a spoon of starch or glutinous rice flour, salt, cooking wine, salad cream

Suggestions:

1 This amount of ingredients can make one big egg roll, you can cut it into 4 or 5 small rolls. 

You can accord to the proportion to make more rolls.  

2 You can buy the starch, glutinous rice flour, cooking wine in most of the Chinese Store.

 

Making Process:

1 Cut the cucumber carrot and seafood sticks to shreds, adding one spoon of starch or 

glutinous rice flour into cooking wine and mix them throughly. 

2 Add the mixing starch and wine which did in the first step into 

eggs and add some proper salt, then stir them.

3 Sieve the egg liquid 

4 Fry the shredded carrots (or you can just eat shredded raw carrots)

 

5 Heat up the pan with a small fire and brush the pan with a thin layer of oil 

6 Pour in the beaten eggs, move the pan gently 

7 Make the beaten eggs cover the pan, continue to heat it with small fire

 8 Turn over the eggs carefully when the surface set and fry for a while

9 Put the eggs on the kitchen board, and put the shredded cucumbers, 

carrots and seafood sticks at the 1/3 position, squeeze some salad cream 

10 Roll up lightly, use some salad cream to stick the egg roll

Finally, you can cut it into 4~5 small rolls. If you like you can decorate it use some salad cream.

Tips:

1 Add the starch or glutinous rice flour into eggs can make the eggs easy to be turn over without broken. 

2 Add the cooking wine into eggs can make the eggs taste softly.

3 You don’t need to add too much salt into beaten eggs and carrots, because the salad cream is salty. 

4 It is very important to notice that use small fire to fry eggs or it will be burnt.

5 You must rolls up the eggs tightly or it will not look beautiful when you cut it into small rolls.
